When Ollie’s grandpa becomes ill and Ollie faces the possibility of having to leave his home in Sueño Bay, he and his friends set off on a race against time to find the legendary mother crystal known for its incredible healing powers. What they don’t know is that a secret group of crystal keepers have dedicated themselves to guarding the cave that holds the mother crystal. If Ollie doesn’t take the crystal, he won’t be able to cure his grandpa. But if he does, the power of the crystal could shift the balance of the island and destroy Sueño Bay.

When a wild winter storm rolls in and all the power goes out, Kay stays with her reclusive aunt, Gayle, the lighthouse keeper of Candle Point. On the long trek through the blustery snowstorm, Kay stumbles upon an injured moon creature. Kay smuggles her new friend into her aunt’s lighthouse to take shelter from the cold. While exploring the lighthouse she discovers a network of tunnels and a colony of moon creatures. Kay tries to reunite the abandoned creature with its family but she can’t do it alone. She tricks her friends into coming to the lighthouse and into the tunnel to help her reunite the hurt animal, but with no success. Desperate to heal her new friend, Kay plucks a mysterious moon crystal from the moon creatures’ nest, an action that sets off a dangerous chain of events. The group becomes stranded when a cliff—and the bridge that leads in and out of Candle Point—collapses into the waves below. Can Kay regain the trust of her friends and restore the balance before Candle Point completely crumbles into the ocean?

Living in the nearby hills are tiny moon creatures, the Hivers, who play a crucial role in the pollination of the local island mushroom crop. But the Hivers’ important job is interrupted when Sleeves, the youngest of the group, stumbles upon them. Feeling left out of the go-kart project, Sleeves claims the Hivers as his loyal subjects and locks them away when he’s not around. Without the Hivers, the island’s mushroom crop starts to take a turn for the worse. Stories say that the last person who messed with the Hivers, the Hillside Hermit, was cursed to roam alone and never return to Sueño Bay. Is Sleeves destined to suffer the same fate or can he and his friends return balance to the island in time?

The second graphic novel in the Sueño Bay Adventures returns to the Pacific Northwest, where a tiny island is experiencing extreme weather, a rash of shipwrecks and the disappearance of whole swaths of marine life. Is it climate change? A bad storm season? Or is something else going on?

Plucky and independent Jenna finds herself in some trouble after a dog in her care is injured. Desperate times call for desperate measures, and Jenna aligns herself with exotic animal dealers looking to make a quick buck off the local floral and fauna. When Jenna finds a rare egg, she unknowingly sets off a sequence of events that could mean the end of the peaceful village of Sueño Bay.

In spite of her attempts to keep them out of her business, Jenna can’t keep her friends from poking around when the supernatural is involved. And soon enough this crew of young sleuths are in a race against time with the greatest Moon Creature of all, Lunar Serpentis.

With nowhere left to live after losing his parents and working his way through a long list of relatives on the mainland, Ollie finds himself at his grandpa’s house in Sueño Bay, “home of the supernatural.” Miserable and intending to get away from the earthquake-prone, rain-soaked island on the next bus out of town, Ollie’s getaway plans are altered abruptly when he and three classmates discover something they shouldn’t have in a trailer in the woods.

The four unlikely friends come together in a mystery involving supernatural creatures, a ticking clock and one angry gym teacher to save themselves, the creatures and Sueño Bay from a darkness that is infecting the island.

If they succeed, will Ollie finally find a place to call home?
